What KCC does
Knottingley Canoe Club supports a range of paddlesport activity through volunteer-led club sessions, trips, training, and community participation. Activity is shaped by member interest, conditions, suitability, equipment, and available volunteers.
Activity areas
- Pool sessions: taster sessions, skills practice, rescue practice, confidence, and rolling.
- River and flat water paddling: club paddles and progression sessions where conditions and suitability allow.
- White water kayaking: skills, safety, progression, and trips for suitable members.
- Sea kayaking: coastal paddling and journeying where conditions, planning, and group suitability allow.
- Touring and social paddles: accessible club paddles, family days, and social paddling opportunities.
- Informal paddleboarding: member interest exists, but public wording and club support model need confirmation.
- Community events: club participation in local paddlesport and community events where appropriate.
Joining activities
Some activities are suitable for beginners, while others need prior experience, specific equipment, or leader approval. Members should check the session or trip information before attending.
